Magazines, Car Shows and Leno... Oh My!
By Donna Loughlin Michaels

My dad would be proud. He was an avid reader of Popular Science and collected issues for years. The November issue of Popular Science with Divergent Motors’ Blade on the cover would have blown his mind.

The Blade is the world’s first 3D-printed car and is one of the greenest and most powerful cars ever created. Designed and built using Divergent Motors’ proprietary manufacturing platform, Divergent is radically reducing the pollution and production costs of traditional automobile manufacturing without sacrificing style or substance. Equipped with a 700-horsepower bi-fuel engine, the Blade goes from 0-60 in 2.2 seconds, faster than a Tesla Model S. All of this power and speed is wrapped up in a head-turning, futuristic design.

On Sunday October 26, 2015, DM and the Blade were at the annual ArtCenter Car Classic at the prestigious Art Center School of Design in Pasadena. The event saw students, alumni, car buffs, and even celebrity car collector Jay Leno lining up for a closer look.

Jay took home a copy of the Blades’ Popular Science cover story.

And my own personal moment with Jay was pretty exciting too! Not only did we get a cover story, but I got a "cool" autograph as well.

Just another day in the life of a PR Diva…
